They are a light-weight fuzzy pair which will keep my feet warm outside of the boots. Man, am I ever, ever so glad I bought new boots last year. While we're back in the deep freeze, my feet stay nice and warm. Adding heavier weight socks, which did not fit comfortably in the wedding shoes, made my whole body warm. Funny how that works.
Anyway, I tried these with the wedding shoes.
These are a bit over the ankles and I think, for the wedding, I want something taller. But the very idea of bright green socks with Ms. M&M's face on them makes me chuckle.
I put the shoes on today and it suddenly dawned on me why I like these. They make me feel like Dorothy from The Wizard of Oz. Granted hers were covered in sequins and she wore light blue socks with them, but the idea of sparkles makes me smile. I'm not a glitter and sequin-type person. I'm more comfortable in M&M socks, blue jeans and a tee shirt. Every so often, however, I want to shine. I think that's why I love these shoes. They shine and, by extension, so do I. Sparkles with a huge dollop of humor. I can get behind that idea.
