Stitching Right Along

This is coming along nicely and I may be able to do exactly what I had hoped to do.

Saturday after the book fair, stitching was a great way to wind down having completed a drive into and out, an hour and 15 minute walk-about and 3 errands on the end of the adventure. After this, I took a nap.

I could not sleep Saturday night. After 90 minutes of tossing and turning and Mija leaving the bed in disgust because I must have kicked her at least 3 times, I got up and spent a few minutes stitching. This was just enough to calm me down and I was able to fall asleep and stay asleep.

This is last night's stitching. I am enjoying this, very much.

I'm thinking this may be an idea for future gifts. The design has to be simple and there can be no partial stitches as you can do with cloth to get a circle effect. It's small enough that I can drop the project in my purse to take with me. With my camera broken, I took this to the office and scanned it for this post. I can see taking a project like this with me on my doctor's visits.

Yeah, yeah, yeah. Here I go, off on another cross-stitching tangent. Wait until I start working on whatever will come after this project. I'm thinking I need to finish something now. I've done a couple of new projects and finished one. I should look through the "to be finished" box and do one of those. In two weeks, I'll be making a decision.

Beverage: Huckleberry tea
