One Flower is Correct

My clematis is in bloom.

It's a mass of delicate white flowers with lots and lots of buds all over it. Under that mass is a metal framework topped with a butterfly. I don't want the clematis climbing up the side of the house as it would probably clog the gutters.

It occurred to me that it's blooming when it usually blooms, June. Sometimes, it's the first part of June. Sometimes, it's the middle of the month, but it's blooming when it's supposed to. So, while other flowering plants and shrubs were flummoxed by the weather, the clematis was not. In probably another week, it will simply be green. Sometimes, I'll get a second flowering in September, but that is weather related. We need a coolish summer for that to happen. Given this year's crazy weather, I don't put anything past Mother Nature.

Beverage:  African Rooibos tea
