On the Way to a Smile

Remember the amaryllis my friend, Bill, sent me for Christmas? I finally got it placed where I can watch it every day, it gets decent light and the cats can't get to it. It rewarded me with some growth.

I gave it a good soaking last night so I kind of expect a spurt in the stem. Bill said it's supposed to be "candy striped". I can't wait to see.

That's the china box it's in up close. When it's all done, I'll wash it out and then, well, I'll find something to do with it. It's beautiful.
