But I Was Going to Wear That

Sunday was errand day. When there is a football game starting at 11 a.m. on Saturday, my day is shot for errands. I do things around the house, but that errand list gets mighty long when I have to shove it all into one day. When the game starts at 2:30, there's a whole morning to go thither and yon.

So I make sure the list is complete and lay out the clothes for the adventure. I can get by with a tee shirt under a sweat shirt. No need to wear a coat, since I'll be in and out of stores and walking about a mall. Hop into the shower, come out and see this.

There has been a long-standing debate over whether animals can express themselves with facial expressions. If you have a four-legged family member, there is no doubt in your mind. Look at her face and tell me that's not a smug look. "I am on your sweatshirt. You can't go anywhere."

Am I the only cat lover who, upon finding this, will completely change what they are going to wear that day? Mija loves to lie on my pants in the morning as I'm getting dressed for work. I have to distract her with something else on which to lie, but she gravitates directly to my pants. Yesterday, I kept the same tee shirt but selected a different sweatshirt and ran off to do my errands.

When I came home, I found this.

It was not enough to have one cat's hair on the shirt. The other cat needed to add hers. I left the sweatshirt on the bed. Perhaps there is enough of my scent to attract them, add comfort to the day. I don't know.

The things I do for the comfort and convenience of my cats.

Beverage:  Darjeeling tea

  1. Yep, know exactly how that is..... and I have four of those hair-spreading creatures!! I do have one room in the house that my boys are not allowed and that's the one room I change clothes or hang the stuff I want to wear the next day or getting ready for something else.... It was the only way to get downstairs hair-free..... ( shall I tell you a secret??? When I really want to get out the house really really hair-free I put on my clothes in the garage, just before getting in the car.... How crazy is that?!)
